Support the Organizations

This is a list of non-profits that I rely upon for accurate information and grassroots activism. They work tirelessly, on the frontlines, calling Industry groups, corporations, and lawmakers to the mat in their effort to make our system more equitable, honest, and transparent. I’m honestly not sure where we’d be without them. Please donate, if you can, to those organizations that call to you.

Organic Consumer’s Association (OCA)

Food and Water Watch

Pesticide Action Network (PAN North America)

Institute for Responsible Technology (IRT)

Center For Food Safety

Stay Informed

Take it from me, staying informed can sometimes feel overwhelming, but it’s incredibly important. The easiest thing to do is choose two or three organizations and sign up for action alerts so that you can sign important petitions. Remember, signing a petition only takes a minute, and it is a vital way to use your voice to help change policy.

The groups mentioned under “Support the Organizations” are all great choices for staying informed, and there are many more hard-at-work organizations listed under “Restore Democracy,” as well. The former focuses mainly on food issues, while the latter focuses more broadly in the political arena. You can also subscribe to my blog to receive important updates and action alerts.
